Half of the Ramadan Kareem (رمَضَان كريم) month passed away now and today is the 16th day of Ramadan Kareem. Ramadan Dua day 16 is the Ramadan Dua for today. You can recite Ramadan 16-day Dua throughout the day with other Duas.
For a Muslim, fasting not only means abstaining from food or eating but also refraining from all sins and evils committed by us consciously or unconsciously.
In the holy month Ramadan Kareem (رمَضَان كريم), it is believed that if one undertakes to refrain from lawful foods and sex, they will be in a better position to avoid unlawful things and acts during the rest of the year.
During Ramadan Kareem holy month, observant Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset. Fasting in the holy month of Ramadan is not only about avoiding food and drink. During fasting, Muslims must also quit smoking. Any other kind of bad activities including fighting, lying, taking oral medications, and engaging in sexual activities, must stop as well.
Fasting during Ramadan is a time for Muslims to commit themselves more to Allah Almighty and render “great services to the community in terms of helping the poor, assisting the needy humans, and sharing whatever one has with others. It is observed that Muslims are generally more kind, tolerant, and active during the holy month of Ramadan Kareem (رمَضَان كريم).
Everyone knows this is such a special month to avoid bad deeds and come close to Allah. Every Muslim tend to celebrate each Ramadan as if it were their last in order to ensure that God will pardon them for any sins they have committed throughout their life.
Abu Hurayrah (RA) relates the Messenger of Allah (saws) said when one Ramadan Kareem month came: “A blessed month has arrived. Observing it in fasting is mandated on you (the believers). During this month, the gates of Paradise will be opened and the gates of Hellfire will be closed. The evil ones (Shayaatin) will be handcuffed. In it, there is one night, during which worship is better than worship in a thousand months. Whoever is denied its blessings has been denied the biggest blessing.” (Ahmed, Nasaee, and Baihaqi). This Hadith highlights the importance of being mindful and must know of the rules that govern the ‘Ibadah of fasting.
