Ramadan Kareem (رمَضَان كريم) is the month in which the Quran Majeed, the holy book of Muslims was first revealed to the prophet Muhammad by Allah (God). In Ramadan Kareem, Muslims have to fast during the daylight hours from dawn to sunset. This was stated as a ruling of Islam in 624 AD.

Urdu translation for this Surah al-Qadr is given below.

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In The Name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful

English Translation of Surah Al-Qadr is given below.

Verily! We have sent it (this Qur’an) down on the night of Al-Qadr (Decree)

And what will make you know what the night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is?

The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allah on that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, i.e. 83 years and 4 months). Therein descend the angels and the Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] by Allah’s Permission with all Decrees, Peace! (All that night, there is Peace and Goodness from Allah to His believing slaves) until the appearance of dawn.

Periodic fasting can help clear up the mind and strengthen the body and the spirit.

Fasting is, first and foremost, an exercise for identifying and managing adversity in all its forms. With faith, in full conscience, fasting calls women and men to an extra degree of self-awareness.

We must master our egoism, and through this mastery, step outside ourselves and educate ourselves in giving. Fasting requires that we rediscover all that is alive around us, and reconcile ourselves with our environment.

Through prayer, fasting, and studying, God will answer.

Instead of looking outside of ourselves and counting potential enemies, fasting summons us to turn our glance inward, and to take the measure of our greatest challenge: the self, the ego, in our own eyes and as others see us.

“(It was) the month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Qur’an, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong). So whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of) the month (of Ramadan i.e. is present at his home), he must observe Sawm (fasts) that month…”

~ [al-Baqarah 2:185]

“Ramadhan is here, here is Ramadhan. Ramadhan is coming, the time that is blessed. Ramadhan is coming, the time we love best. The month in which the Qur’an was sent; a time of great blessing in which to repent. Fasting for Allah is a great Muslim deed; Controlling desires and Suppressing greed.”

sehri ki dua

Start the practice of self-control with some penance; begin with fasting.

We observe that in the scriptures, fasting almost always is linked with prayer. Without prayer, fasting is not complete fasting; it’s simply going hungry.

The philosophy of fasting calls upon us to know ourselves, to master ourselves, and to discipline ourselves the better to free ourselves. To fast is to identify our dependencies, and free ourselves from them.

The Quran has gathered a lot of dust since the last time we picked it up, As Ramadan is approaching fast and we must blow the dust, and start to build a close relationship with the Quran. Ramadan Mubarak.

Let this be a turning point in your life, break free from the deceptions of the world, and indulge in the sweetness of man. Ramadhan ki Mubarak bad.

He who offers iftar to any other fasting person shall earn reward equivalent to a fasting man without detracting from the reward of the latter.

The gates of heaven are opened now, the gates of hell are closed with devil chained in it. The Month of Ramadan is about to commence.

Let this holy month heal you- Happy Ramadan

Strengthen your image, heal your heart. Ramadan Mubarak.

For a true Muslim, End of Ramadan is not “The End,” but Start of a new journey leading towards the Jannat.

Live your life like every day is Ramadan and Akhirah will become your Eid.

Ramazan is the month when you start realizing that it’s not the devil, it’s you.

Don’t be a servant of Ramadan, be a servant of Allah. Be Consistent.

May your Ramadan be blessed (Ramadan Mubarak) and May Allah accept your good deeds as sincerely done for Him (Taqabbal Allaahu minnaa wa minkum)”.

“Islam is a message of truth. We are not here in this country to be accepted, we are here to be respected.”

“Fasting is a shield with which a servant protects himself from the fire.”

Ramadan is like a Rain. It nourishes the Seeds of Good Deeds.
